July Visa Bulletin -- EB2 India 08 MAR 07

July 2011 Visa Bulletin is out and the priority dates are 08 MAR 07 for EB2 India and 01 MAY 02 for EB3 India. For China, the numbers are 01 Jul 04 for EB3 and 08 MAR 07for EB2.

The India EB2 number has moved to 08 MAR 07 from 15 OCT 06. The EB3 India has moved 8 days from the last visa bulletin -- that was pretty much expected.

This is a very good news for EB2 India. It is on-track with the predictions that most of the existing EB2 I-485 filed during July 2007 and August 2007 will be cleared. Looks like the spillover is working in EB2 India's favor. Lets hope it will cross 01-AUG-07 by september bulletin.

For EB3 India, it is going to move at this pace only till there is a legislative change.

  3. In your post you have mentioned that "For EB3 India, it is going to move at this pace only till there is a legislative change."

Can you please let me know what is the "Legislation change" about? What is the likelihood of that happening?

When can one expect EB3 India Dec 2003 PD to become current?

  4. Hi Srinivasan,

Legislative change as far as I know is just a hope. Not enough Lobbysists to voice our concern in the capitol. Like someone said.." When it comes to immigration reform Democrats are Spineless and Republicans are Clueless". Take my advice get a post grad and switch to EB2...Some of my friends just did that..Some even did 2 years of research .pPublished hundreds of papers and got EB1.

  7. @TechFox -- The applicants whose PD is later than Aug 2007 were not able to File I-485, so there is same or more demand same like other months.
@Neil -- You can see here the perm LCA list here -- http://www.flcdatacenter.com/CasePerm.aspx

  8. @Srinivasan -- If you see my I 485 inventory update blog posted on May 31, you can see that there are about 15000 applicants in fron of you. They give about 3000 Green Cards under EB3 - India. So, without any legislative change, you looking at another 5 years.
